STEEL CONSTRUCTION AS PART OF A PROJECT A strong partner Unger is a specialist for all steel construction applications and trapezoidal sheet installations for roofs and walls, making our company an ideal choice for general contractors who seek cooperation with a first-class partner. Unger is certified for all welding methods (welding quality class 1 according to the Ö-Norm, and general qualification certificate according to the DIN-Norm in Germany). All parts are pre-fabricated in the Oberwart plant and assembled to the biggest manageable sizesin our company workshop before being forwarded to their place of destination.
PRODUCTION PROCESS Computer Integrated Manufacturing By automating material flow and processing steps, we ensure the precise fabrication of parts in advance. Our own production-specific data library automatically selects predefined processing values according to material strength. All production sections in the plant are connected online: design, planning, static measurements, and construction are carried out using a CAD program specially developed for steel construction. As soon as a profile is created on the CAD workstation, NC data is generated and immediately transferred to the CNC machines in the workshop, so that each processing stage is controlled online and without errors. A stamping device impresses the project-specific identification number on each component. This allows each element to be identified in all production phases. Each part is treated with the shot blaster. Finally, the completed construction parts receive an anti-corrosive layer, and are painted or hot-dip-galvanized upon request. Prior to delivery, all parts are subjected to rigorous quality control using state-of-the-art ultrasound technology.
MATERIAL Only quality counts We only process first-class material that comes with a certificate of origin. Up to 2,500 tons of steel are processed to functional constructional parts each month. Another advantage of steel constructions is that they can be enlarged, transferred, or disassembled anytime. Steel is an extremely durable material and requires no further treatment for maintenance. If necessary, steel can also be re-melted, thus protecting nature's resources.

COMPANY FLEET Getting there quickly After steel constructions are completed, they are assembled to the largest manageable sizes in our workshop and then stored until they are transported to the building site to be installed there. This ensures that all kinds of orders, from customised structures to mass production pieces can be delivered to the customer in a short time.
