The way to the top
Started in 1952 as a locksmith’s shop, Unger Steel Group has evolved to become a leading international supplier of complete solutions. Over the years, the Group has completed more than 10,000 projects in more than 40 countries.

1952Founding of the family business in Welgersdorf by Josef Unger Sen.
1986
1986Takeover of the business by Josef Unger Jun., expansion to Oberwart and growth into an internationally operating business
2007
2007Launch of steel construction plant II in Sharjah (UAE)
2008
2008Entry of Matthias Unger – 3rd generation – into the company

2012Expansion of the production plant in Oberwart
